Amazon Blogs? I have had one going on for about two years now in which time it has had about ten posts. I have another generic blog on this same title with Blogspot.com and it has received hundreds of thoughtful and informative postings. Why doesn’t the Amazon Blog get any hits? Who knows, since it is right there on the page for the book, and the book sells very well on Amazon!

Any ideas would be welcome!

Very informative post, and will be helpful for my author clients. But what about Amazon blogs? I’ve directed some clients to create these free blogs that appear on the Amazon pages for anything they’ve authored.

Here’s one simple advice: Make sure the title of your book is keyword rich. For instance, the title of my sixth book, Don’t Africa Me: ‘Their’ geo-branding war, ‘Our’ trade, tourism wounds, and Winning like China, has words people search with.

Great post. In addition to soliciting customer reviews of your own books on Amazon, be sure to post reviews of other, more popular books that appeal to your target reader. And end each review with “[your name], author of [title].”

I’ve given a couple of talks about the power of promoting your books on Amazon. People are always amazed by the dozens of little things they can do to create awareness on the site.

It’s all about planting seeds across Amazon and leaving bait in the places where your ideal customers are searching and congregating.

Thanks for the “Search Suggestion”. I didn’t know it was there and even had to hunt a bit to find it. Very cool. I plan to use it for my client publishers.
